And then there were five

Just a quick note, this evening we now have 5 chicks, 3 black and 2 yellow, not going to get excited yet as its early days, got a fair to do all day tomorrow with an early start, so just need to do the essentials in the morning in the hope that the mums will take care of them. 

Rather concerned about one of the other hens though, she gets picked on by the other hens and I've even seen the cockerel standing over her and another hen pecking her, quite viciously.  Noticed tonight that her head has a large scab on it, I think I need to catch her and maybe see about re homing her at J's. 

J has several hens already, all very quiet and calm creatures and I'm sure they'd take kindly to the poor little thing. need to catch her first.
