Blimey, where does the time go, it's the Grand National this weekend, when I was working in an office we always did a sweepstake and I rather miss doing that.
Mrs H and I used to do a pin sticking session leading up to the day and we'd choose a handful of horses each, which we would then use Mike's telephone betting account to put on a few quid each way.
Need to look at the runners and choose my horses, there is usually no science that goes with this, I randomly choose names I like or silks colours that stand out to me.
Update - so at first glance, based on colours, I'd go for Rocky Creek and Balleycasey and with names, the ones that I like the sound of are Carlito Brigante and Balthazar King.
